Gregor Paul

EDITOR

Gregor Paul

Gregor Paul has the curious distinction of being a Scot writing about rugby in New Zealand. That's possibly a bit dubious but it does give him a unique perspective of the game in New Zealand.

He used to play the game, with no great skill or vision but he can clearly remember one occasion where he made a tackle. His playing heroes were Serge Blanco and Andy Irvine, men he hopelessly tried to emulate.
He has won awards, though, for his writing although some suspect the judges took pity on him because he quite stupidly has two first names.

Gregor is also the rugby editor for Herald on Sunday.
